| Charity is entering her second year at Southern Methodist University as an assistant volleyball coach. Before returning to SMU, she played on the inaugural team in 1996. Before then, Charity had been a head coach at the junior college level for 7 years. Coach Savedra started the first women’s college volleyball program at New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico in 2001 and guided Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas to the NJCAA Final Four in 2007. As a player, Charity played outside hitter and defensive specialist at SMU and became the first Mustang to earn all-conference honors when she was named second-team All-Western Athletic Conference. This will be her second year with Dallas Juniors and her 6th year overall coaching club volleyball in the Metroplex. | ||

This is Katie's second consecutive year to coach for Dallas Juniors. She played middle blocker for Ursuline and was an assistant coach for a year while in high school. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008 where she played on many intramurals teams and took volleyball classes. She currently works for Freese and Nichols, Inc. as a civil engineer in Dallas and loves to play volleyball in her spare time.
