Coaching Staff
Our staff at Dallas Juniors is a very committed and talented group of young professionals. We can honestly say that our coaches have been with us and continue to grow with us as we grow. All coaches are adults with past experience in volleyball as either a player or a coach. On staff we have several Junior High and High School coaches from Jesuit, STA, UA, ESD, Dallas Lutheran, Mesquite and other prominent schools in the area. We are very excited about our coaching staff for the 2011-2012 season!

Kendrick is currently a Junior at Southern Methodist University studying Applied Physiology and Psychology. She graduated from Ursuline Academy in 2009, receiving TAPPS First Team All-State, First Team All-District, Setter of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and Varsity MVP. In her youth, she played club volleyball for Dallas Juniors. Kendrick is currently on a athletics scholarship with SMU where she loves competing for the Mustang volleyball team. She enjoys going to the lake, playing golf, and playing sand volleyball.   With over thirty years in the sport of volleyball, Steve has had a great deal of success at many levels including High School and Club Volleyball. While living in Austin, Steve coached with Austin Juniors for eight years before transferring to Houston. In Houston, he started and coached with Westside Volleyball Club. And after founding Dallas Juniors fifteen years ago, Steve has continued to coach various age groups with the club and will be working with 13's this year. He currently serves as Athletic Director for Dallas Jesuit College Prepatory School.

This is Mary's second year coaching with Dallas Juniors. In the past, Mary coached at Victory Volleyball Club for the 15's National team. She grew up in Dallas where she played volleyball competitively for seven years. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Mary has coached several summer league's for a local Dallas school and she has also attended numerous summer camps. Mary volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and The Stewpot. Her hobbies include playing volleyball, running, and anything dealing with art.

  Jackie Lee has been playing volleyball for many years. She began playing volleyball in her hometown of San Antonio and continued playing at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, TX. She has been coaching for about 6 years, and this will be her third year with Dallas Juniors. In her previous seasons with DJs, she coached the 12 National Team. She is looking forward to coaching the 15s this season. Jackie also works as a consulting actuary in Dallas.

This is Sarah’s third year coaching with Dallas Juniors. She grew up in Arizona where she played volleyball competitively for seven years. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and English at Hofstra Univeristy in New York, where she received a Division I full volleyball scholarship as a setter. After graduating in 2009, Sarah moved to Dallas with her sister, who played volleyball at Rice University in Houston. She is currently a third grade teacher at Beasley Elementary and has recently finished her Master’s of Education in Educational Technology Leadership. Sarah enjoys playing volleyball, golf, and running.   Megan Manning will be an assistant coach for the first time at Dallas Juniors. She played club all through high school and going into her senior year she played for Dallas Juniors 17's team. Megan was a four year letterman at Mesquite High School and graduated in 2007. As a senior she earned District 12-5A MVP honors, 1st Team All-District and Second team All-Area as an outside hitter. She was recruited as an outside hitter/libero by Northwestern State University on a volleyball scholarship from 2007-2011. All through college she played in different roles as a libero, outside hitter, defensive specialist, and right side hitter. Megan is second in NSU school history with 444 digs for the season, she tied for third with 35 digs in a match, and she was the fifth person in school history to reach the 1,000 career digs milestone. She is currently taking classes at UTD to complete her Bachelor's degree in Bology/ Pre-Med. She is excited about the upcoming season and is looking forward to being involved in the game again.

Wendy Munzel is in her 12th season as the Dallas Jrs. Director and 13th season to coach, she is excited and honored about her new role of co-owner. She is currently in her 2nd season as the Varsity Volleyball Coach at Dallas Lutheran High School. Before taking the job at Dallas Lutheran she was the Athletic Director and Junior High Volleyball Coach at Zion Lutheran School of Dallas. Wendy has coached and played volleyball for 20 years and is IMPACT and CAP II certified. She played Division I Middle Blocker for Bill Walton at the University of Houston in the Southwest Conference and stayed on to be his 2nd assistant for 2 years following graduation. Wendy has coached at the Junior High, High School and College level in her 20 years of coaching. She is married to Jeff and has two boys Tyler (14) and Tanner (12).   This is Allyne's first season with Dallas Juniors. She attended the University of Nebraska on a full volleyball scholarship. While there she was a three-time Big 12 Champion and played in the final four as a freshman. She graduated in 2005 with a Bachelors of Arts with an emphasis on Communciation Studies. She moved to Dallas two years ago with her husband who also attended Nebraska and played football for the Huskers and two children Madeline and Matthew. Her coaching resume includes ten years at many different levels of play. Currently she is a coach at St. Monica Catholic School.

Chris has been around volleyball through playing, coaching and officiating. With fourteen years of experience coaching club volleyball, Chris ran his own club, Mesquite JOVC, for 6 years, while coaching 14, 16, & 17s. He has spent the other 8 years with Dallas Juniors coaching 11, 12, & 13, & 14s. Chris is IMPACT certified. He has also served as a TASO Volleyball official for eleven years and USAV official for one year. He is currently a middle school teacher and coach at McDonald Middle School in Mesquite and currently working on a Master's in Education Administration. He enjoys being with family and friends and has a daughter, Makenzi, 11, and Jake, 7. Chris stays active by playing in leagues, texting, rearranging living room furniture and training for marathons (White Rock, Austin, etc).   Kelly is entering her 12th season coaching with Dallas Jrs.. Last year she was an assistant coach at Ursuline Academy in Dallas, where they made it to the final 4 at State. Kelly is originally from Broomfield, Colorado. She started playing volleyball in 7th grade and fell in love with the sport. She played Varsity Volleyball all four years in high school and played club traveling with her team to Texas, Las Vegas and California. Kelly then went on to play in college at Hastings College in Hastings, NE. Kelly is married and has a daughter Kyleigh, who was born July 2011.

Michelle is originally from San Antonio, TX. There she played for Incarnate Word High School and Texas Jrs. Michelle went on to play at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. While in Memphis, she coached the 12's and 16's for Memphis Juniors. After college, Michelle moved back to San Antonio to attend graduate school for accounting at Trinity University. She currently works as an Senior Fund Accountant at the Archon Group and continues to play whenever possible in Dallas leagues. This will be Michelle's fourth year with Dallas Juniors.   Chris is entering his 10th season with the Dallas Juniors where he has coached a variety of age groups including 14's, 15's, 16's and 17's.  Raised in Oklahoma City, Chris attended Casady School where he captained the volleyball, basketball and baseball teams during his senior season.  He graduated from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA with a BS in Business Administration in 2000 and later received a MS in Accounting from Oklahoma State in 2001.  While at Washington & Lee, Chris captained the baseball team during his senior campaign and was named to the all-conference tournament team during his junior year.  Chris believes valuable life lessons can be learned from competition, adversity, and placing the team above the individual, and emphasizes this through his coaching.  Chris is currently a senior manager within KPMG's audit practice.
